Samara Bezuidenhout is a Colorado-based illustrator who earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design in 2026. She specializes in illustrative realism with a focus on wildlife, combining careful observation with detailed craftsmanship. Working primarily in traditional and mixed media, her illustrations emphasize texture, value and natural form while drawing inspiration from scientific illustration and the clean intentional linework of tattoo design.

Inspired by the natural world, Samara is particularly interested in capturing the individuality and beauty of animals. Throughout her academic career, she developed a cohesive wildlife portfolio featuring birds, fish, insects, and mammals that reflect both technical precision and a deep appreciation for nature.

Following graduation, she plans to pursue a tattoo apprenticeship while continuing to expand her body of work. Her long-term goal is to create meaningful illustrative tattoos and fine art that encourages appreciation for the natural world through careful observation and thoughtful design.
